What it is
Aztec Fire Chai blends the ideas of xocōlātl and masala chai to bring you a warming flavor-bomb! A lightly sweet and chocolaty infusion with notes of cardamom and cinnamon makes way for a slightly spicy finish in this unique tea.
Why you'll love it
The first chocolate drink is believed to have been created by Mayans around 2,500–3,000 years ago, and a cocoa drink called xocōlātl was an essential part of Aztec culture by 1400 AD.
According to lore, masala chai’s history began thousands of years ago in an ancient royal court. Some legends say it was created 9,000 years ago, while others claim it was 5,000 years ago. There are stories that the court was located in what is now India, while others attribute masala chai to Thai origins. Regardless, it is said that a king created it as a cleansing Ayurvedic beverage.
This chai cultural fusion is spicy, comforting, and chocolaty - it's unlike any tea you've tried!
